District champions in Gumboots, Heritage Competition 2024

Nyiko Primary School is thrilled to announce its victory as District Champions in the Gumboots and Heritage Competition 2024! Our talented learners proudly represented the school and community with pride, passion, and cultural excellence.

The competition, held under the theme “Celebrating Our Roots, Honouring Our Identity,” brought together schools from across the district to showcase South Africa’s rich heritage through traditional dance, music, storytelling, and cultural expression.

Our Gumboots dance team brought the stage to life with powerful rhythms, synchronized movements, and deep cultural meaning. Through the beat of their boots and the energy of their performance, they told a story of unity, resilience, and tradition.
